The Ner Tamid Food Auction is a community auction that enables all of us to enjoy a great culinary experience and also help needy students in Yeshivat Ner Tamid

 

How does this work?

1. At the first stage, we invite everyone, Ner Tamid parents, students and Hashmonaim residents, to offer a homemade dish they are willing to commit to prepare for the auction (offer using the attached form). Offers can be submitted till May 23rd. You can submit the form to the Yeshiva, email to talia455@gmail.com , send an SMS or whatsapp to 052-2538859.

Don't worry, you don't have to pull out the recipe for the Caviar in meringue and cranberry sauce…. Any dish made lovingly will be great!

 

2. The organizing committee will prepare and distribute a list of all the offered goods, including an initial bidding price for each item, together with a bidding form.

 

3. EVERYONE is welcome to bid for the items they want to buy. It is important to offer more than the initial price. The higher you bid, the greater chance you have to win! Bids can be placed till May 30^th.

 

4. The organizing committee will gather all the bids and determine the winner based on the highest bid.

 

5. By June 3^rd, winners will get a message announcing the items they won and the total price (please note: 100% of the money goes to tzedaka, so you are welcome to add more to your total price and donate more! All payments are tax deductible!)

 

6. Erev chag Shavuot all the food will be brought to the Yeshiva and then will be available for pick up by the winners.

 

Last year's auction was an amazing opportunity to enjoy our neighbors' delicacies, work a little bit less towards a long chag and most important: To contribute together 18,000 NIS that went directly to cover needs of students in the Yeshiva: Schoolbooks and scholarships.
